In VINTAGE mode, it creates an indescribably beautiful distortion, especially for large cases strongly labeled "TS-808." It has a creamy, warm, and three-dimensional tone. The dynamic range isn't very wide, and the midrange is pushed out. Yet the balance is good, and there's no feeling of pressure commonly called "nasal congestion."

In MODERN mode, it transforms into a "transparent" overdrive that can also provide a complete clean boost. He adds energy to the guitar and amp without dramatic altering the sound. This overdrive can also be used like a preamplifier or compressor.

By using adapters up to 18V, high-voltage operation is possible. Increasing the driving voltage slightly increases headroom and enhances expressiveness. At the same time, the gain decreases slightly. It is effective as a further variation of the tone.
